"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

That's funny! Guess birds don't have a sense of smell...ha ha! I told him a couple of weeks ago to check his shoes before sticking his feet in them... he always leaves them out for any creature to make a home out of them. UGH! One of these days he's going to find a big fat spider biting his big toe!
That's pretty wild! I'm with Kelly - he better check before he sticks his feet in them! :)
He left a pair of shoes out on the back porch once for a long time and found a mouse inside of one, luckily before he stuck his foot inside. Nasty!
Neil should definitely check his shoes before putting his feet in them :0) I love this picture! I bet that's a wren nest. They're notorious for building nests in strange places. We found one in a milk crate in our garage one time.
Was the mouse dead or alive? Either way...GROSS!!!!!!
