Day One Hundred Ninety One 2013

IMG_0389
Uh oh, Kay has a boo boo on her left knee. Not really. Well, actually, my whole left knee is one big boo boo. Bad knees run in my family. Wish I was immune. Doc says my meniscus [a pad of fibrous tissue which cushions the femur and tibia] is showing some wear, which is causing me grief. One of the joys of growing older, but growing older beats the alternative, as they say. I think so, anyway. So he gave me a shot [in the knee as you can see~ouch!] of cortisone which should ease my pains in the coming weeks [hopefully]. Back in six weeks for a look-see. Hope your Wednesday was pain free.

Uh oh, the dreaded meniscus word. I feel your pain, sister! I hope the shot helps. Did he mention surgery? Did you see Dr. Turnbull? He did my surgery. Hope your knee feels better soonest!

Sorry about your knee! Didn't see this before church or would have mentioned it. Hope you don't have to have surgery.

I see Dr. Turnbull for this kind of stuff. I like him. They x-rayed both knees and he said they looked good. He didn't mention surgery at this time. Yay! The shot is starting to kick in a bit. I have to see him again in six weeks. And, Jane, I have one more doc appt. this week ~ Staggs is Thurs. morn. It's been such a fun week of doc appts. Not! Anyway, next on my list in the coming weeks will be a hearing test to determine if I need hearing aids. At this point, probably a no brainer. I'd like to see a dermatologist, too, and have my skin checked from head to toe. I guess when the IRS takes over our health care, I won't get to do any of this ever again. You all stay healthy!

Glad the shot is kicking in and I'm praying you don't have to have surgery. I need to go the dermatologist myself. I haven't been checked in a long time. Terry has already had several spots cut off of him.
