"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

Day One Hundred One
Pretty In Pink
We've had a pink Dogwood tree in our front yard for years. It has never bloomed until now, and apparently this is the only bloom it will produce this Spring. One is the loneliest number, but one is better than none.
Reminds me of the dogwood in our backyard that never bloomed much. Don threatened to cut it down if it didn't bloom pretty the next year. Apparently, it heard the threat! It has bloomed nicely every year since! :-)
Pretty! I love pink dogwoods.
