"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

Day Two Hundred Forty Three
Pollen Party
This moth and a dozen others like him, plus several bees and other insect critters, were having a pollen party this afternoon on these pink flowers in the backyard. They must have been celebrating the deep blue sky and Fallish temperatures.
Thanks, Ann! I thought the moth was pretty, too. I have no idea what the pink flowers are. They grow in a kind of bush type plant. Neil probably knows.
Great shot! That's a pretty moth! What kind of flowers are those? You guys have all kinds of gorgeous flowers in your yard.
