"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

Day Two Hundred Forty Three 2011
Late summer bloom in my back yard. Happy middle of the week, everyone!
not sure what this is....it grows on a bush....looks like a morning glory or a hollyhock....i have no idea but they're pretty when they're all bloomed out
Morning Glory puckering her lips :o) They always reminded me of going back to school in the Fall...ugh. Love/Hate relationship with Glories. This picture makes me love them again :o)
I always dread when the summer flowers are gone (there are always Morning Glories!), but I'm looking forward to the Fall mums! :)
ReplyDeletePretty! Is that a morning glory?

ReplyDeleteI'm like you, Kelly - Morning Glories remind me of going back to school, too. Love/hate - good way to put it! :)
