D-Day
I posted this last year on this date. D-Day, June 6, 1944, was the beginning of the end of World War II. When I look at this picture, I know that a lot of these soldiers never made it to the beach, and a lot of those who did were killed instantly. Remembering the soldiers who gave their lives to free the world of tyranny. And thank God for those who did survive the onslaught and went on to fight and came home to tell the tale. We can't be thankful enough for their sacrifice.

Day One Hundred Fifty Seven
June 6, 1944. D-Day. The Battle of Normandy. U.S., British, and Canadian troops invaded German occupied France. 10,000 killed or wounded. This was the beginning of the end for Hitler's bid to rule the world. Thank God for all those brave young men who stormed those beaches. A lot of them never made it off those boats. Some of them lived to tell the tale. All of them bravely fought in our place so we can be free. God bless everyone in the military. God Bless America!
