Day Two Hundred Seventy Seven

Wake Up!

Kelly was very sleepy this afternoon. Faced with a 75 minute drive home, she needed some caffeine. If the Cafe Dolce on the square had been open, we would have gone there. (Shh.....) We ended up at Starbucks. It's a nice place on a rainy chilly day, and you can talk in a normal tone of voice without feeling like you've broken some law or something. I'm just kidding. Sort of. The coffee was good, though, and now I don't need a nap. Kelly just called to let me know she got home safe. (Prayer answered. Thank you!) The weekend always goes by way too fast, especially those that I get to spend with my family.

Day Two Hundred Seventy Six

Happy 12th Birthday, Julia!

My niece, Julia Brooke Foy, was born October 3, 1997. She and loved ones celebrated her 12th birthday today with a party at her home. Here she is in her newborn picture and in a recent school picture.

Here is the birthday girl this afternoon, opening her presents. She is a Christian young lady, talented singer, actress, and artist, smart, sweet, and funny. What can I say? We love her to pieces!! Wishing you all the best of everything today and always, Julia!

Day Two Hundred Seventy Three

Just Can't Get Enough ...

I know. I'm repeating myself. I guess because we've had so much cloudy, rainy, gray skies the past couple of weeks, I just can't get over how beautiful the sky has been lately. I took this with my cell phone camera through my car windshield this afternoon as I headed to cardio/sculpt class. It turned out to be kind of an interesting shot with all the reflection. That red spot looks like Saturn turned on its side. I don't know what that bright flare is, but the little white dots are sap on the glass. That's weird wild stuff. Tomorrow's weather is supposed to be more of the same. Bring it on!
