I made some spiced tea mix on this first day of Winter. The kitchen smelled like oranges, cinnamon, and cloves. The scent of oranges conjures up favorite memories of childhood Christmases, because Santa always put oranges and tangerines in my stocking.

We don't get to see much snow any more in middle Tennessee, so what little we did get Saturday night and Sunday morning was welcome--the kind that coats the wind shield of the car, but not the roads. Puts me in a holiday mood.
