Day Twenty One

"The Path The Child Followed Home"

Neil had the day off today. He and Elijah (and Eddie, of course) went to meet Shelby as she walked from school. We had a stormy afternoon--rain, lightning, thunder. I hear some people had hail. These three (and Eddie, of course) didn't seem to mind walking home in the rain. We took the kids to the D.Q. for ice cream to celebrate Shelby's most excellent report card--two B's and the rest A's. I think the storms are over for now.

Day Twenty

Winging It

I have to snap a lot of pictures just to--hopefully--end up with one that's pretty cool. Birds are amazing little creatures and difficult to capture in flight because one second they're there and the next they're gone. They move quicker than my rapid fire snapshots. Thought I'd share this one with you from a day or two ago, as I didn't even pick up my camera today. Sometimes you just have to wing it.

Day Nineteen

If Looks Could Kill ...

If looks could kill, I'd be lying on the floor, clutching my camera. Grand son Elijah and I were playing upstairs this afternoon, and I was taking his picture. After about the umpteenth click of my camera, he ordered me in no uncertain terms and with this look on his face to: "Stop taking my picture!" I told him okay. (For now.)

Day Eighteen

A Little Levity ...

This picture cracks me up. The bird is poised in midair, as though he's not even flapping his wings. Like Houdini. It's magic!

Day Seventeen

Jack Is Back!

'24' is the fastest hour on television. And one of the best dramas ever conceived. Can you tell I'm a fan? Jack is back!
