Day Seventy Six

No Pinching

Grand daughter Shelby made sure she wore something green to school today to ward off those dreaded St. Patrick's Day pinches. As it turns out, she was safe anyway. Her teacher ordered "No pinching!" today. Smart teacher. Happy St. Patrick's Day, be ye Irish or not!

Day Seventy Five

Elijah Man And The Mini Wheats

When I was three years old--long long ago in a galaxy far far away--I would never have dreamed of putting anything that remotely resembled shredded wheat into my mouth. And I've never known a kid who would even try them. Until Elijah. He loves Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats. He saw me eating them one morning for breakfast and wanted to try one. He ate it dry and loved it. Now he tells me, "I want some of that cereal like you eat." Sometimes he asks for them in the afternoon for a snack. Go figure. If only we could get him to eat something like broccoli.

Day Seventy Four

Remembering Peggy
Peggy Gailbreath Sircy
July 29, 1949 ~ March 15, 2010

You always brought us all together, and we had the best time. We'll miss your sense of family. We'll miss your spirit of fun. Thanks for all your funny stories that made us laugh 'til we cried. It breaks our hearts to see you go too soon. We love you and we'll miss you.

Day Seventy Three

Best And Worst

The best thing about this time of year is blooming flowers like this Daffodil that's all droopy with rain drops.
The worst thing about this time of year is daylight savings time. I hate it. Enough said.

Day Seventy Two

Vision Of Good Things To Come

Here's Aunt Kelly playing Fishville on Facebook this afternoon with her nephew Elijah and niece Shelby. They love hanging out together. I must say, I'm looking forward to November (?). Thanks, Kelly and Kerry, for traveling all that way to bring us such happy news!
