Day Two Hundred Seventy Eight 2010

Groovin'

The view from Ocha, our fave Thai food deli, looking out over their still-in-bloom yellow roses, across the street to the TTU campus and beyond to that azure blue and puff cloud October sky. Neil, Holly, Shelby, Elijah and I enjoyed a yummy lunch together. Nice backdrop.

Elijah has double ear infection and wanted to lay around all day, either watching TV or playing video games. He finally wanted to go outside this afternoon to get a breath of fresh air, but the Nintendo DS went with him to the porch swing.

Miss Shelby snuggles with Mr. Scarecrow. She spent a lot of this day drawing faeries.

I see a heart shape. Or is it just me? Never ignore anything in the shape of a heart. Hope you've had a groovin' Tuesday, too.

Day Two Hundred Seventy Seven 2010

Gnarly

Found this most gnarly pumpkin at Wal-Mart today, so of course I had to have it. And of course I had to take its picture with my cell camera in the Solaris color setting (which seems to make everything a little gnarlier). Wonder if it would make a good Jack O Lantern? Stay tuned.

Day Two Hundred Seventy Five 2010

Read Rock Relax--Saturday Rules!

So this is how I spent my Saturday afternoon--in my favorite wicker rocker on my front porch with my feet propped up, reading a novel on my Kindle. October rocks and rolls and I'm loving this sunshine and cool breezes and can't bear the thought of staying inside on a day like today. Even if the Tennessee Vols are (were) beating LSU (and then shot themselves in the foot with a stupid technicality at the last second, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. This is why reading a book is way more relaxing than watching a football game.)

Day Two Hundred Seventy Four 2010

OCTOBER!

October has always been and will forever be my favorite month of the year. Sunshine in my face, a deep blue sky I could swim in, a cool breeze blowing, temperature in the low seventies. Plus, it's TGIF! It doesn't get any better than this. I snapped this sunshine picture with my cell camera in the Solaris color setting. Welcome, October! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
