It’s been two weeks since Neil and I have seen grandson Knox and his mom and dad. This kid is growing and changing so quickly. He stands alone longer and will be walking soon. He points at things now. He growls when you ask him what the bear says. He jabbers in his own little language. And he has a sense of humor. His belly laughs are contagious. His cute personality has really emerged lately. I didn’t think he could be any more lovable than he already is, but I was wrong.

Day Two Hundred Ninety Three 2012

Grandson Elijah was awarded at school today for being such a good student. He was excited and proud because not everyone got an award. He and Shelby made awesome grades this past nine weeks. I’m proud of both of them.
Happy TGIF!

Day Two Hundred Ninety One 2012

The human soul is slow to discover the real excellence of things given to us by a bountiful Creator, and not until the shadows of death begin to gather around the object that we love, do we see its worth and beauty. Autumn is the dim shadow that clusters about the sweet, precious things that God has created in the realm of nature. While it robs them of life, it tears away the veil and reveals the golden gem of beauty and sweetness. Beauty lurks in all the dim old aisles of nature, and we discover it at last.  ~Northern Advocate

Day Two Hundred Ninety 2012

The rose bushes around the gazebo in Dogwood Park are still in beautiful bloom in the middle of October. I hope you got to be outside to soak up some of this perfect Autumn day.
