Eddie Kitty wasted no time in parking himself by the bird feeder after I filled it up this afternoon. Fortunately, the birds are smarter than the cat.

"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

Eddie knows where the food is! :-) (We had squirrel pieces on the patio yesterday, and all the kitties were cleaning themselves. Apparently, no one wanted the tail!) :-)
I'm glad the birds are smarter than Eddie cat :) I wish we could feed the birds, but I've seen Jessica vertical leap several feet in the air and snatch a bird right off the feeder before.
Eddie needs a new hobby... bird watching is out!
