Day Three Hundred Seventeen 2013

Grandsons Knox and Elijah shared a snack and a TV show this afternoon after school. Elijah is the only kid I know who likes shredded mini wheats [the frosted kind]. Knox picked out and ate all of the colorful Lucky Charms marshmallows and left the cereal in the bowl. It’s all sweet on a happy hump day.

Day Fifty Five 2013

One of the things I look forward to at the Nashville Flea Market is visiting the vendor who sells goodies, like country ham and all sorts of homemade snacks, cookies, cakes and fried pies. They didn't have my favorite chocolate chess, but this peach fried pie made a tasty snack this Sunday afternoon.

Day Three Hundred Sixty Three 2011

Snack! A glass of boiled custard with a generous dollop (or two) of Cool Whip that I eat with a spoon. It's just better that way. I know I need to lose five (or six) pounds, but not today. That's what new year's resolutions are for, right?

Day Three Hundred Thirty Nine 2011

A three-day-old Krispy Kreme doughnut and a glass of cold milk—comfort snack on a soggy Monday afternoon. Busy day winding down. Still raining. I may need some more comfort before this day ends.
