Day One Hundred Sixty Four 2011

Hubby Neil is putting up tin ceiling tiles in the living room. Slow process. 14 up, 85 to go. Every time he fires that nail gun, I feel like I've been shot. Makes me jump every time. Long way to go. One day I'll show you the finished product.

Day One Hundred Sixty Three 2011

This is what you get when you try to take a picture of a hydrangea bush in no light with no tripod and a slow shutter speed. My blurry pic looks kind of impressionistic (is that a word?). After Neil cut down the tree it had been trying to grow under, it finally got some sunlight and is growing up and blooming like crazy. Maybe I'll take another picture of it sometime. In the daylight.

Day One Hundred Sixty Two 2011

My hubby Neil was sitting there holding one of the tin ceiling tiles soon to be installed I hope. I asked him what he was doing. He said, "Contemplating." And I thought he was asleep. He's trying to figure the best way of going about laying this tile ceiling. The position of that first tile is crucial to how the rest of it goes up there. He's good at stuff like this and will make it look great. Stay tuned.

Day One Hundred Sixty One 2011

Grandpeeps Shelby and Elijah are happy that their Granny and Grandpa finally joined the 21st century and bought a Wii. I must admit, it is very cool and lots of fun. Today they brought their Scooby Doo and The Spooky Swamp game and spent a good deal of the afternoon helping the gang battle weird and lethal zombies. In that screen shot, there is this huge zombie leading a musical band of zombies while he plays the harmonica and terrorizes Daphne and Fred. The gang and the grandpeeps were victorious in the end and advanced to the next mysterious adventure. As for myself, all I know how to do on the Wii so far is bowl. But I'm willing to learn, so who knows. Happy TGIF, everyone!

Day One Hundred Sixty 2011

My Kindle DX is all decked out in a new skin (or cover) thanks to son in law Kerry who has much patience and a steady hand. I've had the skin for months but was too chicken to apply it myself. Kerry's an expert at this stuff and didn't seem to think it was any big deal, but to me it's like wow! How cool is that?! Now my Kindle is all ready for the beach. So thanks again, Kerry! Here is the link to the web site if you want to check out skins for your devices: http://www.decalgirl.com
