We had what you call a gully washer around lunch time today, not to mention some pretty fierce lightning and thunder, which was cracking over my head while I was out on my back porch, taking this picture of the rain water gushing out the gutter. The rain is welcome right now. I know others need it badly, too. Hope they get some soon.

Day Two Hundred Eleven 2011

I was so happy to see and hear it rain Saturday!!! Feel asleep to the sound of rain and soft thunder... haven't had the pleasure in a long while! Feel for those in the Texas drought... ugh. I'm thirsty just thinking about it. Hope it rains again soon!
We got a few sprinkles Saturday night, but that was it. Kind of wish we could get more rain!
