The leaves in my neck of the woods seem to be taking their time changing colors. That’s OK. Once they turn, they fall. I’m so not looking forward to bare tree season.

"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

I thought the leaves would be a lot prettier this year than they have been. So far, I haven't been impressed. Of course down here in the hollow they are just now starting to change a little. I'm afraid the storms tomorrow are going to knock them all off the trees.
The trees in our neighborhood are looking pretty good. I'm with you, Ann. I bet the storms knock them all off!
