Day Three 2012

Close by the jolly fire I sit
To warm my frozen bones a bit
~Robert Louis Stevenson, Winter Time

Santa Claus brought me a new camera for Christmas--a Canon PowerShot SX230 HS, something small that I can carry around with me in a pocket or a purse. Among other neat things, it has a setting where you can choose one color to accent and the rest of the picture is black and white. It's new to me, so I've been experimenting with it and took this picture of the fire in my wood stove on this freezing winter's day, accenting the red/orange in the flames. I think it made for an interesting picture. And I think I'm going to have some fun with this little camera.

Day Three Hundred Sixty Five 2010

~~Goodbye, 2010!~~Happy New Year!~~

The book is closed, the year is done,
The pages full of tasks begun.
A little joy, a little care,
Along with dreams, are written there.
This new day brings another year,
Renewing hope, dispelling fear.
And we may find before the end,
A deep content, another friend. ~~ Arch Ward

Day One Hundred Eighty Three

Jammin on Kelly and Holly's old Casio keyboard.
Then they fought over it and I had to take it away.

Elijah found this sponge on the bench in the
hallway. He played with it like it was a brand
new toy for at least half an hour. Here he is
flicking it down the stairs.

He found his Pooh cap and wore that for a
while. Still playing with the sponge.

Shelby is my best girl and I love this picture
of her. Although we did get outside this morning
on the trampoline, she stuck to the couch and
watched TV most of the afternoon. Good times
always with my grand kids!
