Day Forty Two 2011

Here is my hubby Neil carefully and meticulously affixing the stickers on the Tonka truck toy that came with our grandson Elijah's Happy Meal at McDonald's for lunch today. Neil tried to get Elijah to place the stickers in the appropriate places on the truck so it would be all decorated and look cool. But Elijah couldn't have cared less and scurried away to play on the indoor playground, leaving his grandpa to finish the job (which he did). Kids always find a way to have some fun, and some of them never grow up. Happy TGIF!

Day Two Hundred Thirty 2010

Wet Wednesday And Random Stuff

"It's clobberin' time!" The Thing says so. He was the toy in Grandson Elijah's happy meal at Mickey D's at lunch today. Have you ever noticed how angry most 'super heroes' are? I guess I'd be angry too if my clothes got all torn up every time I turned into a super hero.

Um....didn't we do this yesterday? He wanted an ice cream cone with sprinkles but opted for chocolate dipped instead. Either way, it's a win-win deal. The Thing isn't happy about it, though.

It rained so much here today that all the Nashville network affiliates sent news crews to our not so fair but flooded town to interview people and take pictures of the devastation. I didn't get any pictures of that, but I did get this raindrop/spiderweb art on my back porch. Can you say wet? Schools are closed on Thursday. We sure didn't need the flood, but I'm liking the cooler temperatures. Hope you are safe and dry where you are right now.

Day Two Hundred Eight 2010

Cloudy With A Chance Of ... Big Fun

Had all kinds of fun with some of my favorite peeps today. Thanks, nieces Sarah and Julia, for inviting me and Shelby and Elijah over to watch 'Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs'. I loved the movie and had a blast just hanging out with you. Just about overdosed on Skittles, but it was all good.
Wishing my sister Jane Foy and brother-in-law Don Foy a very happy 25th wedding anniversary today! This is the Silver anniversary for these two, and Don's got the silver hair to prove it! Jane, on the other hand, never ages, lucky lady. I love you both and wish you the best of everything today and throughout the years to come.
