Day One Hundred Thirty Six 2011

Grandson Elijah graduated from his Mother's Day Out pre-school this evening. The director, Donna Johnson, and all the teachers did an awesome job of putting together this memorable and oh so sweet event. Elijah is so proud of his diploma, and we are so very proud of him. He'll be off to kindergarten in late summer this year. We love you, Elijah! Congratulations!

Day Two Hundred Fifty Two 2010

Grandparents' Day Breakfast

Neil and I were grandson Elijah's guests at the Grandparents' Day Breakfast at his school this morning. This is an annual event, and this year's theme was apparently tropical because we got to wear Hawaiian lays and have our picture made in front of palm trees and beach blankets. All the moms of the kids brought yummy stuff like fruit, doughnuts and muffins and we had a great time eating breakfast with our grandkids and visiting with the other grandparents. Before we left, he gave us each a present he'd made: a wall hanging with his little hand prints and it says 'Hands down, you're the best grandparents around!' Hey, Elijah, thanks for having us again this year. We had a blast! Love you bunches!
