Day One Hundred Sixty Eight 2013

Cousins Knox and Elijah enjoyed some Cheerios for breakfast this morning while watching an episode of Scooby Doo. Eighteen month old Knox loves being around six year old Elijah, but not so much the other way around. For now, anyway. I hope they’ll be good buddies one day.

Day One Hundred Sixty Three 2013

These two have been next door neighbors and best buds for the past two years or so. Grandson Elijah and his friend Anthony have had some great times playing together. Elijah’s dad has said that Anthony is at their house so much of the time that he should declare Anthony a dependent on his tax return. Elijah’s mom says they’ve been together so much that they’re more like brothers than friends ~ and they fight like brothers. Today is their last day to play together. Anthony is moving out of state tomorrow. Elijah says they can talk to each other with Face Time. I hope they do. I hope they stay in touch. Good friends are hard to find and harder to let go. I know they’ll miss each other terribly. Bye, ‘Anfony’, we’ll miss you!

Day Nineteen 2013

Grandson Elijah bounced back from feeling down and out puny yesterday and was able to play with his Vision Basketball team in their double header today. Thanks to his sister Shelby for taking this picture of him just after he made his shot and got another two points for his team. They ended up losing both hard-fought games. Well-played, Elijah!
