Day Two Hundred Seventy Four 2013

“It’s hard for me to put into words why I like the beach so much. Everything about it is renewing for me, almost like therapy...Beach Therapy”    ~Amy Dykens

Pale but pretty sunset ~ Life is good at the beach even if you can't remember what day it is [especially if you can't remember what day it is ~ Neil kept asking]. Happy October, everyone! My favorite month of the year.

Day Two Hundred Fifty Two 2013

Grandson Knox kicked back on a Monday morning, eating a Krispy Kreme doughnut for breakfast, and watching Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood ~ one of his most favorite shows. Life is good. Even if it is Monday. He and his mom and dad went home this afternoon. Miss you guys.

Day One Hundred Sixty Eight 2013

Cousins Knox and Elijah enjoyed some Cheerios for breakfast this morning while watching an episode of Scooby Doo. Eighteen month old Knox loves being around six year old Elijah, but not so much the other way around. For now, anyway. I hope they’ll be good buddies one day.

In my waffle world, there’s no such thing as too many blueberries, but Elijah begs to differ. He picked out a lot of his.

His Vision Basketball team, the Blue Panthers, won their game this afternoon 30 ~ 18. Elijah is on the far right, waiting to see if his shot drops. It did. He got the Team Work award after the game. Both teams played really well.

Tonight we pigged out at Panda Garden for supper. Snapped their picture looking through this cardboard cutout frame the restaurant has set up for Valentine’s pictures.
It was a good day Saturday. Hope yours was, too.

Day Two Hundred Thirty Six 2011

Breakfast for supper at IHOP this evening. Haven't been to IHOP in years, but it sounded good to hubby Neil who, after some oral surgery yesterday, can only eat soft things, such as eggs. He had an omelet. Of course, I went for the fried eggs, french toast, pancakes, and four pieces of extra crispy bacon (which didn't get its picture taken). I can feel my arteries clogging even as we speak. Needless to say, it was yummy.

Day Two Hundred Forty Six

Random Fun And Such ...

Today was Grandparents Day at Mother's Day Out. Neil and I enjoyed eating a delicious breakfast with grandson Elijah and many other assorted grannies, grandpas, and grand kids. So many that they had to set up three more tables to accommodate everyone. We had our picture made together for his MDO scrapbook. I still can't believe he ate sausage balls.

When life hands you key limes ...

... you squeeze them with your trusty lime squeezer and make key lime pie. (The pie recipe is really just Mom's Lemon Icebox Pie, only made with key limes--it's delish!)

Sometimes it helps to have an extra set of eye balls.

Elijah busted some cool moves on the trampoline this afternoon.

And wrestled with Grandpa.

The afternoon isn't complete until you've swung in circles, giggling uncontrollably, and made yourself so dizzy you can't stand up straight when you hop off the swing. Good times, great memories!
