Day Ninety Two

Yard Work, Hard Work

It's Good Friday and Neil was off today. We tackled some outdoor chores. I cleaned the porches and Neil dragged out his wood chipper and started mulching the dead limbs that seem to be everywhere in our yard. That chore alone is going to take more than one day. He mowed the grass this afternoon. It was 86 degrees here today. These tender Spring blooms just can't take that kind of heat. The Daffodils and Hyacinths were drooping. Looks like rain coming our way Saturday. The blooms could use a cool drink.

Day Ninety One

Two of my most favorite people in the universe. And that's no joke. Love you guys!

Day Ninety

Postcards From A Sunny Day

These three jets looked like they were racing each other over my back yard this morning. Wonder where they were going?

Grandson Elijah was stylin' in his new shorts and shoes. He couldn't wait to play outside.

A tender Spring tendril on some plant out back. I thought it was cute.

Elijah was digging for worms again. He never does find any. Not even a bug. Although we did see a bunch of bees flying around some tiny flowers in the grass. He does not like bees. We talked about what they eat. I said pollen. He said chicken. And french fries. It could happen.

I love these little buds sprouting everywhere. The Lilac bush has some neat ones. Well, neat to me, anyway.

Granddaughter Shelby on her way up the path to Granny's house this afternoon. I sure do miss little Eddie Kitty waiting for her with me each afternoon.
And so I say goodbye to March. And good riddance!

Day Eighty Nine

Sweet Reward

Granddaughter Shelby made four As and four Bs on her last report card. Neil and I took her to the Dairy Queen for an Oreo Blizzard to celebrate. She always chooses D.Q. for her sweet reward. Way to go on the great grades, Shelby!

Elijah got a sweet treat, too, even though he didn't make any grades at all. Oh well. Neither did Granny and Grandpa, but that didn't stop us from enjoying a yummy D.Q. treat, too. Looking forward to Shelby's next set of good grades!
