Day One Hundred Sixty Seven 2012
We really need to quit hiding these camouflage Easter eggs. Spotted this one this evening as we were checking on the Hydrangeas to see if they need water. Inside the egg: fun size Skittles! What a waste. Happy TGIF, everyone!

Day One Hundred Sixty Five 2012
When hubby Neil opened the basement door yesterday evening, four raccoons were sitting on the top step. Three of them ran back down into the basement. This one crawled into a corner and tried to blend in with the wood. It didn’t move or even look at us, probably thinking ‘If I can’t see them, they can’t see me, so I’m safe.’ We just recently discovered this family of critters living underneath our house. They’ve pretty much destroyed the insulation, and they’re causing a major stink in our house. Moth balls helped for a while (but that smell was about as bad as the raccoon stench). Neil has found their entrance holes, but he has to make sure the critters are out of there before he can plug up the holes. If we can’t get them out soon and plug up the holes, then I guess we’re going to have to call Raccoon Busters and have them trapped and taken far far away.

Day One Hundred Sixty Three 2012
Hubby Neil and I enjoyed dinner and a movie tonight. We finally used up the rest of our Outback gift card that daughter Kelly and son in law Kerry gave us for our anniversary in May (thanks again!) That was totally yummy. Then we went to see the movie ‘Prometheus’, which is a prequel to Ridley Scott’s movie, ‘Alien’. It is rare that I care to go to the theater to watch a movie, but the previews looked good, and I was looking forward to seeing this one. Unfortunately, I’ll have to give it a negative review. I was very disappointed in this movie. Whatever I was expecting (a better story, perhaps? a strong sense of foreboding? maybe to be frightened out of my seat just a little bit?) this was not it. I’ve seen the first two Alien movies dozens of times and still enjoy them. I would never see this again and don’t recommend it. That’s just my personal opinion. Even Neil agrees and he loves just about any movie. As the saying goes, ‘There’s two hours of my life I’ll never get back.’ But, hey, the steak was great!
