“At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour, but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tide and follow the sun.” ~Unknown
Maybe I should just say ‘see previous post’. I’m repeating myself, to be sure. That’s only because each day here is pretty much the same as the one before but in a good way. Lots of sunshine and blue sky, although clouds moved in this afternoon, so the sunset was not as spectacular as the past few days. The wind and waves are fierce at times. The breeze is coolish. We walk on the beach. We sit on the beach and read and gaze at the blue-green horizon and occasionally fall asleep or munch on strawberries or cantaloupe or grapes. We went up to Kelly’s earlier in the day and watched Knox play with his new obsession ~ Thomas The Train. This evening, we shared pizzas with Kelly and Kerry and Knox at the Mellow Mushroom which is always yummy. Ventured into a beach-stuff store and then into a candy/ice cream shop. Big mistake if you’re trying to lose weight. I guess pizza doesn’t help, either, but oh well. Still slugging back Slim Fast for breakfast and lunch so there ya go ~ it all evens out. And it’s all good.

Day Two Hundred Seventy One 2013
EVER LOVIN SATURDAY
This morning was a bit cool but nice. The wind on the beach was relentless. Not many people here right now. Lazy day. Watched some football. Sat on the beach and read and watched the waves and read some more and maybe even snoozed at one point. Made some white chicken chili in the slow cooker for supper which we enjoyed with daughter Kelly, son in law Kerry and grandson Knox [they brought Key Lime Pie for dessert!] Witnessed another awesome sunset. Time seems to slow down at the beach but then it all seems to be going by too fast.

Day Two Hundred Sixty Nine 2013
A Day At The Beach
One picture is worth a thousand words, they say, so I’ll let these speak for the day we enjoyed today. Good times in paradise. [I saw some dolphin fins this afternoon ~ I was hoping the dolphins would jump up out of the water and do some tricks ~ maybe next time ~ now I can say I’ve seen dolphins in the ocean]

Day Two Hundred Sixty Eight 2013
Destination ~ Destin
We arrived in Destin around five o’clock this afternoon. Our trip was easy and uneventful ~ yay! The weather is beautiful here but the waves are choppy and high ~ someone was surfing out there.
Destin sunset view off daughter Kelly and son in law Kerry’s tenth floor balcony.
Enjoyed a crab leg dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf seafood restaurant. So good. What a treat! [especially after Slim Fast for breakfast and lunch]
We went for a stroll on the boardwalk to check out the boats and found a friendly pirate making balloon animals and such. He made Knox a pirate sword.
Yo Ho Ho! Knox was a bit intimidated by the pirate but liked the sword. The pirate gave Kerry that balloon parrot that was sitting on his shoulder. It’s wonderful to be here again. Our first floor condo is very nice. Looking forward to a good night’s sleep. Neil and I are tuckered out.
