HAPPY 37TH BIRTHDAY, KELLY!
Daughter Kelly celebrated her [hot pink!] 37th birthday today [and it snowed today just as it did 37 years ago which added a nice touch to the celebration]. We enjoyed a fun party at Kelly and Kerry and Knox’s new/old house with yummy cake, ice cream, and punch [and presents of course]. I wonder how long it’s been since that hundred year old house has heard that many loud voices and so much laughter. Wishing our snow baby a happy birthday and a wonderful life filled with lots of love and many many more good time celebrations. Your dad and I love you!!

Day Two Hundred One 2013
SHELBY’S 12TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
Granddaughter Shelby turned 12 on July 18 and celebrated her birthday today at home with family.
Happy Face. Happy Shelby!
Granddaughter Shelby and grandson Elijah cozy up for a brother/sister portrait.
Having a summertime birthday means dad rents an awesome water slide to enjoy.
Birthday Girl
Blowing out those candles after the Birthday Song
Opening presents may be the best part [the birthday hat makes it even more fun]
Lots of presents
Daughter Holly, grandson Elijah, granddaughter Shelby and son in law Jerry gave a fun party. Happy Birthday, Shelby! Love you so much!

Day Sixty One 2013
Ever Lovin Saturday
We’ve had some snow here, starting this past Thursday.
It started coming down again late last night.
We got maybe an inch. Maybe.
Really pretty. We don’t get big snows any more. I miss those. But we’ll take what we can get.
A bird in hand is worth four in the bush. Inflation, you know. I think these are waiting their turn at the feeders.
Since daughter Kelly and grandson Knox are visiting this weekend, Neil made yummy blueberry waffles for (a late) breakfast.
His blueberry waffles are the best. Did I say they are yummy? They are.
Grandson Knox didn’t care for any waffles. He just wanted to take his socks off.
We went to Starbucks for some coffee (what else?), squeezed in at a little table by the window, all cozied up next to about ten other people, and watched it snow. There’s something about Starbucks that just makes you want to kick back.
And fall asleep in Grandpa’s lap. Not even the aroma of caffeine could keep him awake at this point.
The proverbial blanket of snow, sliding off the hood of the car into fluffy white folds. It snowed again tonight and replaced all that was lost with a fresh blanket.
Neil finally got to celebrate his birthday this evening. He turned 62 on February 28, but due to other stuff happening in the family, we postponed the party until a more opportune moment which turned out to be tonight.
Happy Birthday, honey/hubby Neil! We enjoyed cake and ice cream and punch and a whole lot of chatter and laughter, as always when our family gets together. (Not that there’s always cake and ice cream and punch but that would be nice.)
And Neil enjoyed lots of cool cards and great gifts, which as you can see, he gave a thumbs up. Fun party. Worth the wait. Let’s do it all over again next year.
Happy Saturday, everyone!

Day Three Hundred Fifty One 2012
HAPPY 34TH BIRTHDAY, HOLLY!
My daughter Holly celebrated her 34th birthday today. Here she was at the age of one, sitting on her Grandpa Ranft’s lap. They were pretty good buddies, and I know she’ll appreciate this picture because we were just remembering him today and how he always unclipped his clip on tie and hung it from the front of his shirt when he was done with it.
Happy birthday, dear daughter Holly! So hard to believe our Christmas baby is 34 years old. We wish you all the best of everything today and always. We love you more than you will ever know.

Day Three Hundred Thirty Seven 2012
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY, KNOX!
Grandson Knox William Kimbrough celebrated his 1st birthday today at Granny and Grandpa’s house with his family.
PUPPY DOGS was the birthday theme. Arf!
Big birthday party fun with cousins Shelby, Julia, Sarah, and Elijah.
He boogied to some keyboard tunes before the party got started.
He was not happy to wear his party hat.
Singing the birthday song and ready to blow out his number one candle.
Birthday cake tastes pretty good, but I don’t like having it on my fingers.
Presents!
He got cute clothes and jammies…..
and really cool toys to play with. This one tasted good, too, like birthday cake.
This looks like fun.
Some new wheels for the birthday boy.
Dad took him for a stroll.
Now that was fun!
Party Hounds! Behind the swing: Kelly Kimbrough (Knox’s mommy), Kerry Kimbrough (Knox’s daddy), Great Aunt Jane Foy, Great Uncle Don Foy, Uncle Jerry Myers, Great Aunt Ann Sissom, Great Uncle Terry Sissom, Granny and Grandpa. On the swing: Cousin Elijah Myers, Cousin Sarah Foy, Knox Kimbrough (Birthday Boy), Cousin Shelby Myers, Cousin Julia Foy, and Aunt Holly Myers.
It’s so hard to believe you’re already one year old! Happy Birthday, Sweet Boy! We Love you so much!!

Day Three Hundred Four 2012
Happy Birthday, Jane!
My baby sister Jane celebrated her 51st birthday today. How can that be?? Seems like yesterday she was toddling around in a diaper, a bottle in one hand, a pacifier in the other hand, and another one in her mouth. She’s a blessing to me in so many ways, not only as a sister but also as a friend. Wishing you a happy birthday, Jane! I love you!!
