Day Three Hundred Three

Happy Birthday, Jane!

Today my baby sister Jane Mabry Foy celebrates her 48th birthday. She's still the same sweet, funny, lovable little sis she's always been--our almost-Halloween baby in the family. She's a blessing to me and everyone who knows her. I don't know what we'd do without her. Wishing you every happiness today and always, Jane! I love you and am thankful you're my sister. Hope you have the happiest birthday ever!

Day Three Hundred Two

Fangs For The Memories ...

My sister Ann brought a bag of chocolate caramel candy corn to lunch with Mom today, and things got a little wacky.

Big brother Ken grew some candy corn fangs, too.

And even Mom got in on the act. It was funny because hers kept popping out. We had fun together and lost track of time. Good times!

Day Three Hundred One

Trunk Or Treat At Jefferson Avenue church Of Christ
Where The Monsters Come Out For Treats And Fun
And It Isn't Even Halloween Yet!

Elijah got into his vampire costume and this little monster came out--"Rar!"

Shelby put on her costume and this vamp came out, looking a bit evil. Keep away! She might bite you!

Interview with the vampire Elijah. He does look like something out of an Anne Rice novel.

If looks could kill....Shelby is shooting her best evil glare while Elijah is being Elijah.

Niece Sarah Foy dressed up as Matt Suggs, the youth minister at Jefferson. Take my word for it. She looked just like him.

Niece Julia Foy dressed up as an iPod. The song highlighted in blue was "playing now". The Beatles' 'Octopus's Garden' is her favorite tune.

My basket is bigger than your basket....I have no idea what Sarah, Shelby, Elijah, and Julia are doing in this picture, but I did manage to get them all in the same shot

Sarah Lane is one of the many creative members at Jefferson who always go all out decorating their Halloween trunks. And she always greets her guests with a big smile.

Scary carved pumpkins lit up one of the trunks.

Yes, I will happily take your candy, thanks! After a great meal of hot dogs and pizza and yummy desserts, sliding down the giant slide, playing games, trunk or treating, taking shots at pinatas with a stick, stuffing their faces with endless candy, and finally a fun devo with youth minister Matt, these kids were totally worn out and no doubt fell asleep in the car on the way home. And it's not even Halloween!
Good times, great memories.

Day Two Hundred Ninety Nine

October At The Speed Of Sound

A jet stream made a pretty cloud in my sky this afternoon. This month is flying by--just like that.
