Day Two Hundred Forty 2010

Blast From The Past 2007

Grandson Elijah still wears his Pooh Bear hat and still hasn't figured out how to use the remote control. That last thing is probably just as well.

Day Two Hundred Thirty Nine 2010

TGIFriday At The Nashville Flea Market

There's something for everybody at the flea market. You need a giraffe, don't you?

I love these vintage boots. And the bag is pretty cool, too.

I like her and her little black hat. She was just about the cutest thing I saw all day. I'm sure she has a story.

Got ammo? This one's for Big T. You know who I'm talking about.

So I think I'll just throw on my straw hat and fur coat and grab my fishin pole and head down to the lake ....

You can just see right through some people ....

I wanted this baby carriage even if I don't have anything to put in it.

Now here's something you don't see every day.

I've fallen and I can't get up. He was for sale as is. Somebody put some clothes on that cherub!

Does this creep you out? Halloween in just around the corner.

He's still the man.

I like vintage cameras. Should have bought this one. It was $35--a Kodak instant film camera. Cool. Maybe if it had some film ....

These shoes look like something out of the thirties or forties--maybe something like my mom wore way back when.

This is pretty much how Neil and I felt by the time we reached the last building at the fairgrounds. Tired old bear. The heat zapped us.

Daughter Kelly joined us for some supper at Olive Garden before we headed back home.

Bye, Kelly! We parted ways somewhere on I-40E. Good times on a TGIF. Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Day Two Hundred Thirty Eight 2010

Just For Fun

I ordered these plastic color lens and flash filters from the Photojojo store online. If you enjoy photography and taking pictures, you should check out this website. It's tons of fun with cool stuff to buy like unusual cameras and accessories. I saw these filters--you just hold them in front of your camera lens or over your flash and click--and thought they might be fun.

I took a few sample shots just to test them out this afternoon, aiming toward the bright light filtering through my front door.

There are eight of these little plastic cards in the proverbial rainbow of colors.

I won't bore you with every picture I snapped.

I think I'm going to have some fun with this.

Photojojo http://www.photojojo.com is a fun and playful website. Each time they send your order, they enclose a dinosaur which is listed on the invoice as Rawwwwr! No charge, of course. Check it out sometime.

Day Two Hundred Thirty Seven 2010

Video Mania

Grandson Elijah is four years old and has already mastered the video game controls on Play Station 2. He brought over his Scooby Doo game today and played off and on most of the afternoon. (I think the last video game I played was Pong.) By 3:30 he was ready to go outside and jump around on the trampoline for a while with his old granny. Now that I know how to play.

Day Two Hundred Thirty Six 2010

Something To Celebrate Among The Weeds In My Backyard

My backyard is feeling neglected these days, but I discovered a few spots of beauty. It is there. You just have to look for it.
