Day Thirty Three 2011

In honor of Groundhog Day, Neil and I amused ourselves during lunch at Arby's today by making hand shadows on the table whenever the sun would peak through the clouds. The most famous prognosticator groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, did not see his shadow in 2011. It is predicted that spring is on its way. We can only hope that spring will arrive sooner than later this year. I think my hand shadow looks like a bunny. No? Whatever.

Day Thirty Two 2011

It's just me, standing in the rain and wind, waiting for grand daughter Shelby to walk home from school this afternoon. A gratuitous self-portrait. I'm sure anyone passing by me who happened to notice me taking a picture of myself probably thought I was weird or something. What can I say? They would be right.

Day Thirty One 2011

Monday sky in shades of gray taken in the Solaris color setting with my cell phone camera. A good day to be inside, doing laundry. Now the rain has come. Can the snow be far behind?

Day Thirty 2011

Peeps at Poet's On The Square this afternoon: niece Sarah, niece Julia, daughter Kelly and grand daughter Shelby. I always enjoy being with my coffeehouse peeps for a couple of hours of chatter and laughter and of course tasty drinks. These ladies rock! Looking forward to the next time.

Day Twenty Nine 2011

Impossible to stay indoors on a gorgeous day like today--cloudless blue sky, tons of sunshine, and temperatures in the 60s. Our two grandpeeps, Shelby and Elijah, could not resist a trip to the playground for some big time fun in the warm sun. You got to grab it while you can get it!
