Day Seventy Six 2013
It’s Saint Patrick’s Day. Neil and I stopped by our local pub [Poet’s On The Square Coffeehouse] and ordered up a brew or two. Couldn’t help notice this Post-It note on the counter. I said ‘really?’ The barista said some people let them know they don’t like it when the order takes too long to be filled. Wow. Some people, huh?
Actually, Neil and I weren’t celebrating St. Paddy’s Day or anything else for that matter. We just wanted some frozen hot chocolate, or, in his case, frozen cookies and cream. We don’t need an excuse to have tasty frozen treats.
I do have a bit of Irish in me [more like Scotch-Irish, as my dad would tell me] but I suppose everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick’s Day.
Happy St. Paddy's Day, y'all!

Day Seventy Two 2013
Housework is always open ended. I feel a bit like Cinderella when I sweep the hearth with this worn out fireplace broom. [I always think of her as Cinderelly, like the Disney movie mice called her.]
Neil had the day off and was back out in the yard, getting it ready to put down some mulch. I didn’t envy him that, as it was a cold windy cloudy winter day ~ not much sun here. When I snapped this picture, there was a brief moment of snow flurries. Thought I was seeing things because at that moment the sun was out. They were here and gone in a blink.
We treated ourselves to a frozen cookies and cream drink at Poet’s coffee house this afternoon. Crazy thing to do on this cold day. It was delicious, but, living up to its name, froze us half to death.
Neil built a fire when we got back home. Took the chill off for sure. So much for Cinderelly’s hard work sweeping that dirty hearth.

Day Sixty Two 2013
Peeps at Poet’s On The Square coffeehouse. From left: grandson Knox, hubby Neil, daughter Kelly, niece Julia, grand daughter Shelby, sister Jane, niece Sarah, and grandson Elijah. We don’t get to gather here very often, but when we do, we have loads of fun. And yummy coffee and frozen goodies. Hope we get to do this again soon.

Day Ninety Two 2012
Peeps at Poet's On The Square Coffee House this afternoon: niece Sarah, sister Jane, daughter Kelly, grandson Knox (his first visit here), niece Julia, and grand daughter Shelby. We enjoyed some tasty cool (and hot) drinks and just hanging out for a little while on this most beautiful April first. And that's no joke.

Day Two Hundred Ninety Five 2011
Daughter Kelly is expecting her first child soon. Two of her closest friends, Allison Wells and Jenny Underwood, gave her an awesome baby shower this afternoon at Poet’s On The Square. Friends and family enjoyed yummy food and showered the mom-to-be with an array of gifts—from boxes of diapers to handmade wall hangings and everything in between. My personal kudos to Allison and Jenny—you two ladies did such a wonderful job putting the shower together. Kelly is blessed to have friends like you. She will use everything she received. Knox will be one well-dressed kid. Can’t wait to meet you, little grand peep!

Day Two Hundred Sixty Eight 2011
POET’S
Enjoyed a yummy frozen hot chocolate with my peeps at Poet’s On The Square this afternoon. It’s always fun to get together here and chat and laugh and be silly (which means being our usual rowdy selves). A great way to spend some time on a gorgeous Autumn day. Peeps at Poet’s rock!

Labor Day Weekend has been a washout weather wise with lots of much needed rain and cooler temperatures, but that’s OK. Today was a great day to hang out with Peeps at Poet’s On The Square coffeehouse and enjoy yummy drinks and each other’s crazy company. We had to keep borrowing chairs from other tables as the nine of us packed ourselves around two tables. I always enjoy the time we get to spend together here and looking forward to doing it all over again ASAP.

Day Two Hundred Twenty Six 2011
Had some spur of the moment fun with peeps at Poet's On The Square coffeehouse after lunch today. It may have been a coincidence, but for some reason the place cleared out after we came in and sat down and started making noise. Oh well. We can't help ourselves. Maybe there's something in those tasty frozen drinks that brings out the random silliness in all of us, which results in a whole lot of laughter and (loud) fun. We haven't been there in a long while, so I guess we were making up for lost time. Anyway, it was fun as always so let's do it again sometime. Soon.

Day One Hundred Forty Two 2011
Got together with my coffeehouse peeps this afternoon at Poet's On The Square. We enjoyed some tasty drinks (too tasty in some cases) and shared some laughs and brought grand daughter Shelby to tears discussing our dearly departed beloved pets. We learned some important facts: never blow dry a hamster or overfeed a goldfish (unless you want it to explode). We never know where our conversations are going to take us. Always a good time here with this bunch. I especially needed the laughs. We'll do it again soon, I hope.

Day Forty Four 2011
Coffeehouse Peeps met at Poet's On The Square this afternoon for some tasty drinks and some lively conversation. Topics of discussion ranged from Bieber Fever to summer road trips. We were rowdy as always but that's okay because it's that kind of place. I always enjoy our crazy fun times at Poet's! I heart you all!!

Day Nine 2011
We always have big fun at Poet's On The Square right here in our town. Left to right: daughter Kelly, sister Jane, niece Julia, grand daughter Shelby, daughter Holly, and niece Sarah convened in the back room of Poet's for a couple of hours of sipping tasty treats--like frozen hot chocolate and mango orange smoothies (the best ever!)--while we generally misbehaved. We had the room to ourselves, so we didn't bother too many other coffee customers, and we left it the way we found it. Sort of. We did steal a few moments of fun. But don't tell anybody because this won't be the last time.

Day Three Hundred Thirty 2010
I got to spend a couple of quality hours with some quality peeps this afternoon at our coffeehouse hangout of choice, Poet's On The Square, right here in downtown Cookeville. From left to right: my sister Jane Foy, daughter Kelly Kimbrough, son in law Kerry Kimbrough, grand daughter Shelby Myers, niece Julia Foy, niece Sarah Foy, and daughter Holly Myers. We enjoyed tasty beverages--some steaming hot, some frosty cold--and lots of laughter and discussions on a variety of interesting topics. We are such a cerebral group. No, really. Good times, always!
