"Of winter's lifeless world each tree
Now seems a perfect part;
Yet each one holds summer's secret
Deep down within its heart."
~~ Charles G. Stater
"All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."— Susan Sontag

Beautiful picture! The sunset was great today!
What Jane said :0) The sunsets have been gorgeous lately! Love the verse as well. Can't wait for those bare trees to be covered with leaves!!!
When I look at the bare limbs during the winter I see desparate hands reaching for the heavens begging God for warmth of the sun and leaves to cover their nakedness. That was too deep. I think I'm ready for Spring!
