Grandson Elijah and I spent the day together. This afternoon, we hit the doughnut shop for some sweet bites.
As the line from the song ‘Horse With No Name’ goes “The heat was hot…..” He wanted me to jump on the trampoline with him, and we did for maybe five minutes, until we both decided we’d be a lot happier and much cooler inside. The soles of our feet were cooked.
He entertained himself off and on today with his new Lego Batman 2 video game for his Nintendo DS. He couldn’t wait to get this one and used some of his own money to buy it. He got to be all sorts of heroes, like Superman, Green Lantern and Flash, to name a few. Way cool game. Way cool kid.

Looks like a fun day with Elijah! I know he misses Shelby. He couldn't wait to see her at Family Night. He's a sweetheart! :)
Sweet that he misses Shelby! I'm sure the doughnut & Batman game kept him preoccupied :-)
