"A righteous man
who walks in his integrity -
How blessed are his sons [and daughters]
after him."
(Proverbs 20:7, NASB)
My dad, Flynn Mabry, and me when I was two or maybe three years old. He was always so quiet and only spoke when he had something he needed to say, was often described as having the patience of Job, and he loved and provided for his family in a quiet and humble way. But most important of all, he was a Christian man who did his best to live a Christ-like life. This is what I will always remember about him. Wish you were still here, Pop, so I could tell you I love you and wish you a Happy Father’s Day. God bless all the good fathers out there. Hope you enjoyed a very happy Father's Day.

Day One Hundred Seventy One 2010
Happy Pappy Day!
Spaghetti, salad and garlic cheese bread coming right up.
Son in law Jerry making a fresh salad.
My gift to hubby Neil was this shirt from Bill O'Reilly's website.
The dad's seemed pretty happy with their presents and cards.
Sweet Father's Day portrait. These guys rock!
Elijah couldn't wait to sample the dessert Holly made.
This awesome cake with strawberries on the bottom and whipped cream topping was totally delicious. We all enjoyed the great meal and just being together on this special day for dads. Thanks for having us over, Holly! Remembering my dad today, too, who passed away eleven years ago. Love him and miss him so much! (Thanks for the spaghetti sauce, Pop!) Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
Daughters Holly and Kelly treated their dad and Jerry to a homemade spaghetti lunch at Holly's house today. Holly made spaghetti sauce, using her Granddad Mabry's legendary recipe.
Grand daughter Shelby set the table for our yummy meal.

Dad and daughters. (It took several shots to get this one--I won't even post the ones of them doing pig noses--although maybe I should....)

Day One Hundred Seventy Two
Today is Father's Day. Here is Neil with daughters Kelly
and Holly. They treated him to a homemade spaghetti
lunch with all the fixins at Holly's house. We enjoyed a D.Q.
ice cream cake for dessert.
Here is our son in law Jerry with his kiddos Shelby and
Elijah. We all had a fun time together this afternoon.
My dad passed away ten years ago. Here he is with me and
my brother Ken back in 1953. He was with us in spirit today
because the spaghetti sauce we enjoyed for our special lunch
was his own unique recipe and simply the best in the world.
Love you and miss you, Pop!
God bless fathers everywhere!
