Day Three Hundred Sixty 2011

All good things must come to an end. I don't know who said that or why it "must" be, but it seems to be true. Our whirlwind Christmastime came to a close this evening with the departure of daughter Kelly, son in law Kerry and grandpeep Knox, as we shared some yummy drinks at Starbucks before they hit the road back home. Neil and I came home to a very quiet house. We miss the buzz but always feel blessed for the opportunity to spend the holidays with family. Thankfully, there is plenty to keep me busy this evening (laundry and the tree is coming down), so maybe I won't miss everybody so much. Yeah, right.

Day Sixty 2011

Grandpeep Shelby is hooked on Dolce Cafe hot chocolate, and grandpeep Elijah is hooked on Angry Birds. So daughter Kelly, son in law Kerry and I hit the Dolce Cafe this afternoon and treated these two to some kid-sized hot chocolate and a little Angry Birds action on Uncle Kerry's iPad. Good fun (in quiet tones) and good coffee, too.

Day Fifty One 2011

We had to scrap our plans to take the Grandpeeps roller skating again today since their parents came back from their trip earlier than we expected. Daughter Kelly and I took granddaughter Shelby for a quick trip to Dolce Cafe. Shelby had never been there before. She got some hot chocolate and loved it. Snapped this pic of her with my cell phone camera in the Solaris color setting. Isn't that the look of love? Dolce Cafe does have very tasty drinks. Nice way to end our weekend together. Now, look out, here comes Monday.

Day Thirty Five 2011

The Dolce caramel latte--looks good enough to drink, doesn't it? It was! Daughter Kelly treated me to one of these pretty lattes at the Dolce Cafe coffeehouse on the square here in our little town this afternoon before she and her hubby Kerry headed back home. A hot tasty treat on a cold and gray winter's TGIF.
