The Dahlias have been the best thing growing in our neglected back yard all Summer. They're beginning to die out now...not as many blooms. I took this picture a while back, and since I didn't stop to take any new pictures today, thought I'd share it with you, just because it's pretty. I'm going to miss these colorful happy faces. Enjoy!

Day Two Hundred Forty Seven
Random TGIF Pics
I think this little leaf resting on the sidewalk is trying to tell us something.
It wouldn't be Friday without the sweet company of Elijah man. Grandpa was off work today, so the guys went to get a haircut together at the Village Barber Shop. Russell gave him a number 5 on top and a number 4 on the sides. Looks like the barber knows what he's talking about.
This spore was caught in a spider's web on a planter sitting on the front walk. It's almost like looking through a cracked window pane.

Wishing everyone an enjoyable and safe Labor Day Weekend!

Day Two Hundred Forty Six
Random Fun And Such ...
Today was Grandparents Day at Mother's Day Out. Neil and I enjoyed eating a delicious breakfast with grandson Elijah and many other assorted grannies, grandpas, and grand kids. So many that they had to set up three more tables to accommodate everyone. We had our picture made together for his MDO scrapbook. I still can't believe he ate sausage balls.

Day Two Hundred Forty Four
The Better To See You With ...
Daughter Holly has always been proud of the fact that she is the only member of our family who doesn't have to wear glasses. She always shunned our yearly eye exams, because she could see quite well, thanks, but no thanks. And eating carrots? Pfft! Who needs stinkin carrots when you enjoy perfect vision?? But, alas, the 30 year track record has abruptly come to an end. Her eyes have been aching for a while. Her job requires a lot of computer time. She realized she just couldn't see as well as she used to. It was a good run, but sometimes you just can't outrun the need for corrective lenses. Here she is wearing her stylish new glasses and amazed by how much better she can see now, not realizing just how much she needed them. Her sister Kelly is quick to point out that Holly should have eaten her carrots.
