Day Two Hundred Fifty Two 2013
Grandson Knox kicked back on a Monday morning, eating a Krispy Kreme doughnut for breakfast, and watching Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood ~ one of his most favorite shows. Life is good. Even if it is Monday. He and his mom and dad went home this afternoon. Miss you guys.

Day Two Hundred Twenty Five 2013
Randomness
When ya gotta go, ya gotta go. To Wal-Mart, that is. Which is always an adventure in shopping. I don’t go there unless I absolutely must. Wal-Mart gets its share of bashing, but I’m thankful for it all the same. It’s a love/hate kind of thing. The check-out guy was really nice.
Grandson Elijah put in a request yesterday to have some delish frozen yogurt at Mae Pearl’s after school. But he had a doc appointment, so I promised him we’d go today.
His sister Shelby had a haircut appointment today and couldn’t go with us. I pointed out that we could go tomorrow, but nope, his heart was set on having some today. So he and his grandpa and I enjoyed an afternoon treat. Shelby did get to go with her mom after her haircut ~ just so you know she didn’t miss out.
Sweet tea with lemon instead of the usual soft drinks, plus meat loaf, asparagus, and baked potatoes [nuked, actually, it’s faster] made for a pretty tasty supper. [I guess we had our dessert first, but there’s nothing wrong with that.] Hope you had a terrific Tuesday.

Day One Hundred Eighty Seven 2013
At Wal-Mart today, grandson Knox cried big tears when we had to take his Elmo bibs, Elmo plate, and Elmo fork and spoon away from him long enough to run them through the check out scanner. You would have thought we were chopping off his arms and legs. No bagging these items. He got them back and carried them to the car and held them all the way home. Some things are sacred. You just don’t take away a man’s Elmo stuff.

Day One Hundred Sixty Nine 2013
Grandson Knox sitting in a ‘big boy’ chair today at lunch.
More fun than pint sized human beings should be allowed to have during lunch.
The Bomb Pop addiction has begun. Begging for Bomb Pops is a habit now. He didn’t even want this one.
Are you taking another picture of me, Gee? [that’s a hard G~~he can’t pronounce Granny yet] He and his mom and dad headed back home this afternoon. House is quiet. The only sound is the Elmo tunes playing inside my head.

Day One Hundred Twenty 2013
Grandson Elijah lost his second upper front tooth today. He could wiggle it, but it was nowhere near as loose as the other one that finally came out a few days ago. I told his mom yesterday that it would be weeks before this one dropped out. Shows you how much I know.
He says he really won’t be able to eat apples now, just apple slices. But Pop Tarts and bananas ~ no problem, cause they’re soft. His new teeth are already coming in. Cool kid, with or without teeth.

Ever Lovin Saturday!
Grandson Knox is here for a visit with his mommy Kelly. While mommy Kelly enjoyed some ‘me time’ with her friend, Grandpa Neil and I took Knox to the playground at our church. He loved every second of it, especially going down the slide. The sun was out. The sky was blue. And Knox was oblivious to the cool wind. That’s what being a kid is all about ~ happy oblivion! He wore us out. I think I need a nap, too. Happy Saturday, everyone!

Parting Shots
‘Pa’ and grandson Knox and Elmo going for a walk Saturday morning. Knox has a monkey with a long tail riding on his back like a backpack, which is a very clever leash to keep the kiddo from running willy nilly into the street.
Knox and his mom headed back home this afternoon after being with us for a little over a week. We enjoyed some coffee together (well, Knox enjoyed his tasty yogurt snack) before they hit the road. He watched a slide show on my iPad, while the big folk enjoyed this beautiful day outside. It’s always hard to see them go.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Day Three Hundred Twenty Two 2012
KNOX AND CROCKS
Grandson Knox and his mommy Kelly are here to visit for Thanksgiving week. Turned loose at Granny’s house, he loves to roam and is tempted to examine/play with/have anything that is not one of his toys. Such as Granny’s crocks (and Grandpa’s movie theater popcorn bucket). How much fun is that? Tons and tons, from the looks of it.
