Day Three Hundred Sixty One 2013
It’s easy when your cup is full of boiled custard and whipped cream.
Grandkids Shelby, Elijah and Knox hanging out at my house today ~ finally went outside this afternoon ~ I told Shelby to jump into the picture, so she did
Beautiful day for a stroll in the neighborhood ~ Knox is loving his new car that his Aunt Holly and Uncle Jerry and cousins Shelby and Elijah gave him for Christmas ~ it’s fun to ride when somebody is willing to push. Happy TGIF, everyone!

WEDNESDAY this and that
Neil and I went for a walk around the block after our Slim Fast lunch today ~ this hill gets your heart pumpin’
Grandson Elijah after school telling me about his day
Ray of light kind of day ~ sky was so blue
Also a doughnut kind of day ~ Ralph’s rules!
Also a pizza kind of day ~ supper with peeps at Mamma Rosa’s ~ Granddaughter Shelby ready for a bite of pepperoni
My ooey gooey cheesy mushroom pizza dripping off the plate ~ yummalicious. Wednesday was pretty tasty. Was yours?

Day Two Hundred Sixty Three 2013
Randomness
At the carwash ~ so long bird poo and tree sap
This was a most welcome sight this evening ~ Slim Fast for breakfast and lunch is getting Old Fast but sticking with it ~ so Ocha Thai food for supper was quite yummy
We try to walk every day ~ mostly for any amount of time my decrepit knee will allow ~ look at all those leaves ~ you’d think it was Fall
Moving right along~ creepy picture ~ my toes look freakishly long ~ weird, huh? I was prepared to do another lap around the block, but Neil wimped out on me after only ten minutes
I tend to pick up things that catch my eye when we walk ~ like these little acorns ~ I’m a little nutty that way ~ Happy TGIF, y’all!

Day One Hundred Fifty Three 2013
It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Summer When……
…..your face is covered in mac n cheese at Cracker Barrel for supper………
…...you go for an evening stroll with your momma, grandpa, and granny around the block……..
…..you see the Red White And Blue on display on a neighborhood front porch. [Flag Day is June 14]………….
…..the air is filled with the scent of honeysuckle and magnolia……..
……sunsets come later and later……..
…..you want to go just a little bit further down the road before you head home…….
…..lightning bugs flash around the yard……..
…..there is no limit to the bubbles you can blow…….Summer is coming fast [summer solstice begins June 21 at 1:04 a.m. EDT]. But it may as well already be here.

Day Ninety Seven 2013
Parting Shots
‘Pa’ and grandson Knox and Elmo going for a walk Saturday morning. Knox has a monkey with a long tail riding on his back like a backpack, which is a very clever leash to keep the kiddo from running willy nilly into the street.
Knox and his mom headed back home this afternoon after being with us for a little over a week. We enjoyed some coffee together (well, Knox enjoyed his tasty yogurt snack) before they hit the road. He watched a slide show on my iPad, while the big folk enjoyed this beautiful day outside. It’s always hard to see them go.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!

Day Ninety One 2013
“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” - Confucius
The weather on Monday sure made up for the weather on Sunday. Even though the wind was cool, the sun was warm and the sky was blue. A perfect day for a walk. Or in the case of grandson Knox, a run.
He found a nice place to plop down and hang out and commune with nature.
What a glorious day! Give God the glory.
Picking flowers in the back yard
And doing a little spring cleaning. He LOVES brooms.
Granny’s violet. Thank you, Knox.
Knox was happy when his cousin Elijah got home from school.
Grandson Elijah is an award-winning guy. I’m so proud of him.
Grand daughter Shelby and her mom stopped at the store after school and bought a big blue ball for Knox to play with. I think Shelby got the biggest kick out of it.
We enjoyed a great supper at Cracker Barrel to close out our afternoon together. Waiting for food can be fun when you’ve got electronics to keep you busy. Good times. Good Monday.

Day Twenty One 2013
Duct tape is a man’s best friend. And only a man would do something like this. Hubby Neil had the day off and planned on doing a little crawling around under the house, cleaning out our nasty basement. His equally nasty jeans have huge holes in the knees, and it was cold out, so he covered up the holes with duct tape. Nice insulation, but I’m sure it made for some sticky knees.
Such a gorgeous day! Not a cloud.
We decided it was a good day for a walk. The sun was out. The sky was blue. We didn’t realize how cold it actually was when we set out around four. Sun was going down by then. Long shadows. Short walk.
Chilly night = chili night! Oh yummy! Happy Monday, everyone!
“We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope.”
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
