Peonies are budding in my back yard.

Neighbor kitty Lily followed me around while I snapped some pics. She’s always on the go~a constant blur.

I wish we had more of these dark purple Irises. I really like that yellow stripe.

Peony bud looks like a swirly little planet. The flowers smell so good.

I have no idea what these are but I like them. They grow on a vine.

Azaleas are one of my faves, too. God sure knew what He was doing when He made flowers, didn’t He?

Day One Hundred Fourteen 2012

Monday at the carwash...then the birds came.....

You say PEE-o-nee, I say pee-O-nee. Just sayin'.....

Honeysuckle  (update: my hubby Neil, who planted this, says it is Jasmine...he thinks) It looks like honeysuckle to me. Which shows you how much I know about plants.

Oh Monday Monday how could you leave and not take me....

Day One Hundred Thirty

So, here I am on day one hundred thirty, standing in the rain, taking pictures of raindrops on the Peonies. There's a song--or a joke--in there somewhere.

Day One Hundred Twenty Four

May The Fourth Be With You

Local politics. Today is Election Day in a lot of places. Our neighbor across the street is running for re election to Register Of Deeds and apparently believes he has this one sewn up. At noon today, they were setting up tables and chairs on the side lawn and unfurling the red, white, and blue banners for a victory soiree. Maybe if Neil and I had gone over there and told him we voted for him, we might have been invited to the party.

In other randomness, our Peonies are blooming. When I see a bloom like this, I can't help thinking of the movie 'Little Shop Of Horrors' and that giant man eating plant that says, "Feed me, Seymour!"

Even the weedy wildflowers are picture worthy.

I don't know what these purple stalks are, but they're pretty.

Joe Cool dropped by after school today to chill out for a while. Peace out, y'all.
