T G I F ~ some randomness
Here comes the sun! If you click on this picture to enlarge it, you can see all the tiny sunbursts in the birdbath water, along with the sun’s glorious reflection. Pretty cool and totally accidental on my part.
Our birdbath hasn’t been cleaned out in a long time and contains a little eco system all its own. There are tiny bubbles in the water around that little feather (I think it’s a feather).
Our porches haven’t been cleaned off all winter, either. This is one of the rotting pumpkins from last Fall still sitting on the deck that will need to be scooped off with a shovel because it has turned to liquid. That should be fun.
The sun is new each day.

Watering can can’t water with a hole in the bottom.
All of our buttercups look like this ~ bowed down even in the bright sunlight. They bloomed way too early this year and have been beaten down by the recent snow.
You’re never too old to blow bubbles, which I did this afternoon, [even though the grand peeps weren’t around], just because they were still sitting out on the table where we left them earlier this week. Could not resist.
Little buttercup bud just can’t hold its head up ~ too weak from the cold and snow.
This little stone in our walkway commemorates the year we moved into this house ~ 30 years ago this month. Hard to believe I’ve spent half my life here.
We all shine on, like the moon, and the stars, and the sun.
~John Lennon
Good advice.
Happy TGIF, y’all! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Day Sixty Six 2013
Busted!
Spring Break lunch today at my brother Ken’s new digs with sisters, nieces, nephews and hubby. Ken moved back to town recently, which means we get to spend more time together. He has decorated his home with several of his son Ian’s sculptures, including this bust Ian fashioned after his dad. The resemblance is spot on, don’t you think? (minus the mustache of course)
Here’s another take with the bust stylin in niece Sarah’s hat and sister Jane’s glasses. Can you say Facebook profile picture?

Day Sixty Five 2013
I used to be Snow White, but I drifted.
~Mae West
I think we’ve had more snow days in March than we’ve had the entire winter. [this makes me think of the first moon landing for some reason ~ one small step]
Lunch at Ocha today with daughter Holly, grandson Knox, daughter Kelly and hubby Neil.
Knox and his mom went back home today after spending the last several days with us. Miss you guys!

Day Sixty Three 2013
spring break!
It’s spring break for grand daughter Shelby and grandson Elijah. They spent the weekend with us, and they hung out with us today. iPad mini rules! Shelby has become addicted to Pinterest thanks to Aunt Kelly.
The Grandpeeps Knox, Shelby, and Elijah.
The snow melted in this fifty degree weather today ~ a good day to bounce on the trampoline. Superman had major static hair going on.
Sometimes when you’re small, you get bowled over by the big red ball while playing with cousins on the trampoline.
Downward Facing Dawg. Don’t you love Shelby’s hot pink knee socks?
We never get too old for bubbles. Shelby wanted to try out my ‘big’ camera and got some nice shots …
… like this one …
… and this one ~ a perfect bubble ~ and you can see Shelby’s reflection in the bubble ~ very cool shot, Shelby!
And she snapped some nice ones of cousin Knox … like this one …
… and this one. She loves photography and has a good eye.
They got in some jumping when Knox wasn’t on the trampoline.
Good times Monday! I hope the kids (and teachers) have more spring weather during the break. Today felt so good. I haven’t missed the snow now that it’s gone.
