Day Ninety One 2013
“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” - Confucius
The weather on Monday sure made up for the weather on Sunday. Even though the wind was cool, the sun was warm and the sky was blue. A perfect day for a walk. Or in the case of grandson Knox, a run.
He found a nice place to plop down and hang out and commune with nature.
What a glorious day! Give God the glory.
Picking flowers in the back yard
And doing a little spring cleaning. He LOVES brooms.
Granny’s violet. Thank you, Knox.
Knox was happy when his cousin Elijah got home from school.
Grandson Elijah is an award-winning guy. I’m so proud of him.
Grand daughter Shelby and her mom stopped at the store after school and bought a big blue ball for Knox to play with. I think Shelby got the biggest kick out of it.
We enjoyed a great supper at Cracker Barrel to close out our afternoon together. Waiting for food can be fun when you’ve got electronics to keep you busy. Good times. Good Monday.

Day Ninety 2013
EASTER
Granddaughter Shelby, grandson Elijah and son in law Jerry stylin on this soggy Easter Sunday.
The Myers Family ~ Shelby, Elijah, Jerry and Holly
Neil and me with our Myers Peeps
This is grandson Knox’s second Easter.
Holly and the kids made these beautiful Easter eggs and deviled eggs. Delicious eye candy!
Elijah looks like the mushroom character in Mario Bros. with his Easter basket on upside down.
Niece Sarah lovin on Shelby
We were forced to hide eggs in the house this year, but that just made the hunt more of a challenge. Sort of.
Knox was excited about his Elmo Easter basket.
The hunt spilled out onto the front porch where Elijah checks out the contents of one of his eggs.
Knox got into the hunt ~ with a little help from Aunt Holly.
I love this smile on Elijah’s face. Makes me smile.
Sarah is beyond the egg hunt stage, but she did have to look for her prize egg which she found in the kettle on the woodstove.
Niece Julia found her prize egg pretty easily, too.
And so did Shelby.
It took Elijah a while to locate his. Grandpa hid it well.
My Easter Peeps ~ Elijah, Sarah, Knox, Julia, and Shelby. I love our Easter egg hunt tradition which means more to me each year as these kids grow older. Love all of you!
“I’m all ears!” What’s Easter without a chocolate bunny?!
Happy Easter!

Day Eighty Nine 2013
Chasing Chicks
Grandson Knox got to meet two of his cousin Shelby and Elijah’s Easter chicks this afternoon. He had a great time chasing them.
And almost catching them.
He didn’t get to hold one [for obvious reasons] but he did happily and briefly pet one. Shelby and Elijah have six chicks. Elijah named his Junior, Bob, and Mario. Shelby named hers Shelly, Lou Lou, and Chicketa [my favorite name of all]. All the peeps [bird and human] will be joining us for the Easter egg hunt in the back yard on Sunday. We’re hoping the rain will be gone by then.

Day Eighty Eight 2013
Daughter Kelly and grandson Knox are visiting this weekend.
Knox will be 16 months old in four days. He’s getting so big ~ the consummate toddler, always on the go and curious about everything.
He sat down with Elmo and his mom long enough this afternoon to watch America’s Funniest Home Videos. And then he was off again because there’s a whole house full of stuff to explore.
Happy TGIF, y’all!
