Day One Hundred Fifty
Picture Postcards From Sunday Afternoon At Poet's
I had the best time this afternoon at Poet's On The Square with assorted peeps and peepettes. Frozen chai, not so tasty smoothies, chocolate lava cake, lots of random conversation and some good time belly laughs made for some good time memories. Hey, we weren't any louder than anybody else, right? Let's do again soon, guys!

Day One Hundred Forty Five
Berry Pickin' (And Eatin') Time!
Grand son Elijah and grand daughter Shelby love picking the berries off the tree. Their mom (daughter Holly) did, too, when she was about Shelby's age.
Our Mulberry tree in the back yard has once again sprouted a bumper crop of berries, already ripe for the picking.

Blast From The Past
Here's grandson Elijah back in 2007--three years ago yesterday. Since I didn't take any photos today, I thought I'd share a blast from the past with you. They usually end up being Elijah. But that's okay. He's way cute, no matter what year.
And so long to one of the best shows ever on TV--'LOST' ends its six year run tonight. Hate to see it go. If you haven't seen it, watch the whole thing on DVD this summer. You won't regret it!

Day One Hundred Forty One
T.G.I.F. At The Nashville Flea Market
These cast iron mermaids were my favorite thing I saw all afternoon. There was a fourth one sitting all by herself in a chair. Wouldn't they look great perched on the side of a swimming pool? Well, maybe.
Lots of vintage trunks to be had at the flea market. This was a nice one--if you like pink. It was probably bright red in another life.
That's the great thing about the flea market--you can wear just any old thing and nobody cares. Red heels, green bag, sequined gown. Let's go junkin!

Day One Hundred Thirty Seven
Memento
My baby brother Rob Mabry passed away very suddenly two years ago today in Destin, Florida. Sometimes I remember something funny he did or said or I see a picture of him surrounded by his family and then it hits me and I think, Oh yeah...he's not around any more. Oh, but that's not entirely true. He's around. In my memories. In my heart. He drew this little self portrait on the envelope of a birthday card he gave me in 1980. He was 16 years old at the time and already a marvelous drummer, his lifelong passion. Who's this? he asked. Like I could ever forget.
